It’s Going To Be Spooktacular!!
On October 28th, the Town of Carlton Landing will host, yet another, best Halloween Party you have ever attended. The extremely family friendly event will take place on the Town Green. The Town Green is located at the end of the Boardwalk and across Water Street.
Get the Goodies
The evening will kick off with Trick or Treating at 5:30pm. The residents have been instructed to leave their porch lights on if they are participating in trick or treating. It’s the safest trick or treating we have experienced in our short time as parents. Usually the only wheels on the road are golf carts with parents trying to keep up with kids as they run from house to house.
Get Your Chili Fix
After the kids are all sugared up, head on down to the Town Green for a Pot Luck Chili Dinner. If you have not experienced a Carlton Landing pot luck, you haven’t lived. We have some fantastic cooks who will knock your socks off with their take on an American favorite. Sign ups to bring Chili, sides, or whatever else can be found by clicking here. The link will take you to the Signup Genius page for the event.
Show Your Gear
After bellies are full, it’s time to show off that groovy costume you threw together at the last minute. That will be my excuse, anyway. Prizes will be given for the best costume for Kids and Adults. Things usually wrap up around 10pm or so. But, I’ve heard the after party Karaoke machine has made an appearance at a certain home somewhere. Keep your ear to the ground for the after party in your neck of the woods, or just have your own!
Should weather not permit the post Trick or Treating Festivities, the pot luck will move to the Carlton Landing Community Church tent across the street from the Town Green. If the weather is unseasonably cold, the church will have heaters going.
What to Bring
Prior to the event, check the weather. If you signed up for the Pot Luck, bring your plate to the Town Green and someone will direct you were to place it. Bring your favorite beverage, a chair, and blanket depending on the temps. The Association will provide plates, cups, utensils, and napkins.
This is one of the most enjoyable events of the year, we look forward to seeing you there!!
