Finally, winter is starting to release its grip on Carlton Landing and let us outside to play for a little while! This weeks weather is a bit like a roller coaster. Highs in the 60’s Thursday and Friday, then in the upper 40’s on Saturday, and back up to the 60’s on Sunday. Lows will be in the 50’s Thursday, down to freezing Friday and Saturday, then back to the mid-40’s on Sunday. Wild, huh? Bring the plants in, take them out, in, out, oy!
Nevertheless, the fun will continue as we look to next week for more Spring like weather. Usually the weekend that follows a big holiday weekend tends to be a bit low key. There are no community events scheduled, but Carlton Landing Academy is out for Spring Break, so the roaming packs of kids will be in full force.
Food is Always Fun!
We are so happy to have Mama Tigs in our little town. They have done a fabulous job getting things up and running, so much so, that they are starting to expand the menu and offer salads. I tried the Antipasto today, it was fantastic! It’s served on a garlic bread crust with a Vinaigrette dressing.
Plan to have at least one meal at Mama Tigs, located down on Water St. and Park St. by the Development Office and dock. As of this post, their hours are Thursday 4pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday 11am-9pm, Sunday 11am-2pm.
Gingham Home Shop
Our very own Whitney has opened up a nice little retail shop in the Boardwalk Commons Unit B (aka The Sixplex) located at the end of Lower Boardwalk. When you are out seeing the town, seeing friends, or walking off your dinner, stop by the Gingham Home shop and grab a Carlton Landing t-shirt or a nice smelling candle for your cottage. The current Spring hours are:
Saturday 9am-noon (Saturday hours will get longer as the season progresses)
Carlton Landing Community Church meets every Sunday morning at 10am in the white tents at the end of Lower Boardwalk. This week, Jami Smith will lead us in some awesome worship music and Clayton Ransom has prepared a fantastic message. We look forward to seeing you!
