Carlton Landing events in the Spring can be a moving target. This weekend in Carlton Landing, the weather yo-yo is wreaking havoc, for sure! We woke up to snow last Saturday and 3 days later, it’s going to be 80 degrees. Well, this week and weekend is no different. Bring your short sleeves and your layers to be comfortable. We’ll have highs in the 70’s through Friday, then back down to the 50’s on Saturday and Sunday. Lows will be in the 60’s until Friday night, then close to freezing on Saturday and Sunday. It will still be a nice weekend to get out and say hello to friends, so come on!
BBQ Pot Luck- Update!!!!
Due to weather, the potluck location is shifting to the friendly confines of the CLCC tent at the end of Lower Boardwalk on Water St. Same time, different place. See you there!
Our resident pot luck organizers, Bert and Heather Scott, have put together a BBQ themed pot luck. This one is easy, grab some chicken and lather it up with your favorite sauce. Or, whip up your Mom’s potato salad recipe you have been dying to make since last Summer. If BBQ isn’t your thing, bring whatever you love to make and share, because pot luck’s are great for foodies, but it’s about fellowship with your neighbors, above all.
Bring your food to the Pavilion at 6pm. The weather is supposed to make a sharp turn, so be on the lookout for an updated location if it’s determined that be the case.
Swing by Gingham Home’s new shop located in the Boardwalk Commons (aka the Sixplex) on Lower Boardwalk. The Spring hours are Friday evening 5pm-7pm, Saturday 9am-noon, and Sunday 1pm-3pm. Come grab an original Carlton Landing tee or grab some good smelling stuff for your cottage.
When the shopping is done, walk over to Mama Tig’s and try their expanded menu. It’s not just pizza anymore! Salads were added last week and I can personally attest they are wonderful. Their new permanent location is in the old fish house building across from the Residence Club and the Park St Lake Approach on Water St.
Jeanette and the crew will be open Thursday from 4pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday from 11pm-9pm, and Sunday 11am-2pm. We hope to be sharing additional food choices coming in the VERY NEAR future.
Brandon Scott and the Scott family make their return to Carlton Landing this weekend and Brandon will dive into Ephesians and discuss our identity as children of the Light. JD Fuller will assemble the Fishers of Men worship team for some great music!
CLCC meets in the big white tents at the end of Lower Boardwalk at 10am every Sunday morning. Please make plans to join us!
