Usually, after busy weekends Carlton Landing goes quiet for a bit. If you happened to partake in last weekends Cinco de Mayo festivities, you know how busy it was, if you didn’t, read up on what you missed the first weekend in May, here. It was great to see the community come out in full force to support local retailers at the Pop Up vendors, restaurants, and school! Even when there are not many scheduled events, you will still find plenty to do when the weather turns warmer in Carlton Landing.
The weather this weekend in Carlton Landing will be fantastic! Lots of sun and highs in the 80’s for swimming and boat activities. The lows will be in the mid to low 60’s. Perfect porch sitting weather.
Food Centered for Mothers
Shockingly (or not) most of the activities around here center around food. Meals have been the centerpiece to bring people together throughout history and we do it up right with our fantastic cooks who reside in Carlton Landing. But, since it is Mother’s Day weekend, it might be nice for the Dads to throw together their famous queso or tamales and have it ready for the pot luck!
This Saturday night, Heather and Bert Scott are hosting the monthly Community Pot Luck Dinner to be held at Pavilion Park (finally!) The theme this month is Mexican, so bring some good food to share along with your favorite beverage. Serving will begin at 6pm, but feel free to come mingle a little early.
Paper goods and utensils will be provided by the HOA.
The month of May kicks us in to “The Season”, so look for events to start ramping up. Memorial Day weekend is the first holiday weekend and packed full of events. Be on the lookout for BBQ contests, crafts for the kids, and story time for kids. More things will be added to the lineup as the weekend approaches, but don’t wait much longer to book your stay.

CARLTON LANDING IS A STORY OF FAMILY, DISCOVERY AND VISION
The idea of Carlton Landing was born from the realization that every person needs a tranquil, relaxing place to retreat. As relational beings, we need places that strengthen relationships and foster a sense of community.
A place where to experience the wonder of nature and celebrate our own innate sense of creativity. A place where our pace of life can slow down, our sense of meaning and purpose can rise up, and renewal and revival just seem to happen. This place is Carlton Landing, a new community now emerging on Oklahoma’s scenic Lake Eufaula. A place for life well lived.
Carlton Landing’s master plan was created by the world renowned urban planner, Andres Duany, and his team from Duany Plater-Zyberk. DPZ is responsible for creating other great places such as Seaside, Florida and Rosemary Beach. The walkable urbanism of a DPZ community provides a quality of life unlike anything found in this region.
27 Firefly MLS#817282
Brought to you by DAVID KOLB of Front Porch Family at Keller Williams Realty Elite. We are fortunate enough to be able to bring you an insider home spotlight on 27 Firefly Lane, for sale in Carlton Landing. Enjoy the first of many homes to be showcased on FrontPorchFamily.com.
27 Firefly Lane is listed for $459,000 and is a 2197 square foot, 2 story, 3 bed, 2.5 bath home with a flex room AND a bonus room upstairs. It is as you would expect for a home built in 2015, brightly lit, the interior is painted in beautiful grey and white tones, and immaculately taken care of. You will find wood-like-tile throughout the main floor of the home and well kept carpet upstairs that looks and feels brand new.
The first thing we like to point out on this home is the location. Firefly Park was one of the first greenbelt parks built in Carlton Landing. It has become the center point of family activities, fun events, and great neighborly conversations. You will find kids playing soccer and adults playing spike ball. As the day moves on, the front porches fill up to take in the evening southern breeze and the kids keep on playing until the dinner bell rings or the sun goes down. On more than one occasion, the impromptu pot-luck dinner will erupt with barely an effort. This park is a community in a community and if you are looking for a place with awesome neighbors to do life with, this is your spot!
All in all, 27 Firefly Lane is immaculate and decorated well. But, its location on the most desirable park in Carlton Landing makes it a listing worth taking a look at. For more information, shoot us an email! We would love your feedback or be happy to answer any questions.
