The Front Porch Family is dedicated to letting you know what the weekend in Carlton Landing has in store for you. Our crack team of investigators have put together the following articles to keep you in the kn0w….
Fall is here!!
This weekend in Carlton Landing, cooler temps have arrived and we are looking forward to some extended porch time with family and friends. Weather for the weekend looks like temperatures on the mid-70’s during the day and low 50’s at night, with a light chance of rain around church time Sunday. It’s going to be an open window, let the kiddos run wild kind of weekend, topped off with a glass of red to warm up the cool nights.
Rummage Around Anyone?
The 1st Annual Carlton Landing Rummage Sale with be held down at the Pop Up Shop buildings. Those can be found by following the link to our handy dandy map or by walking all the way to the end of the boardwalk and bumping right into them. The sale will run Friday Afternoon from 2pm til 6pm then again on Saturday from 7am (what?!?) til Noon. Multiple Carlton Landing families will be offering their stuff up. The best part is, ALL PROCEEDS will be donated to a local Eufaula charity in need. Come support a great cause by rummaging with the families of Carlton Landing.
I enjoy attending the Homeowners Association quarterly meetings to keep in touch with the ever changing changes of Carlton Landing. Besides, you get to hear from the top what is happening, what is expected to happen, and what has happened over the last 4 months. I have yet to see fireworks at one of these, but the town is young. Usually, it’s updates from leadership and those involved in the town growth projects and infrastructure. Interesting stuff if you are or intend to be a resident of Carlton Landing. The HOA meeting is Friday night at 7pm in the green door school house. The schedule says it should be over at 8pm, but it hardly ever is. Eat your dinner prior to attending, just in case.
The Town of Carlton Landing will celebrate another successful HOA meeting by continuing the Hitchcocktoberfest Saturday October 21st at 8pm on the Park Street Lake Approach. Follow the link to the map or head to the dock and stop at the big screen in front of you, throw down a blanket or folding chair and enjoy! This week’s showing will be North by Northwest which is the creepy one where Carey Grant is chased by an airplane. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 94%, so it will be worth your time.
Carlton Landing Community Church meets in the big white tent at the end of lower Boardwalk every Sunday Morning at 10am (or so). This week we will continue the Francis Chan lesson on We are Church and JD Fuller’s Fishers of Men will be throwing down some awesome music to get us ready for our lesson.
